Edgewood Elementary School in Edgewood, MarylandFor the past 43 years, the professional staff at William Paca/Old Post Road Elementary School has worked tirelessly to help all of its students achieve academic excellence.  Our location on Old Philadelphia Road ensures that our students come from a diverse geographic area and mandates that our school vision emphasizes inclusion for all, an appreciation for diversity, and a focus on student achievement.

GOAL 1: Provide students with high quality instruction.

Operational Objectives
1. Develop staff understanding of content literacy and reading skills during the 07-08 school yearas measured by quarterly professional staff development feedback forms.
2. Meet or exceed 2008 AMO in grades 3, 4 and 5 on the MSA Reading Assessment.
3. Meet or exceed 2008 AMO in grades 3, 4 and 5 on the MSA Math Assessment.

GOAL 2: Establish practices and procedures which utilize the observation and evaluation process to support quality instructional practices.

Operational Objectives
1. Increase student achievement as measured by teacher observations that demonstrate the use of high quality instruction on a quarterly basis.

GOAL 3: Support the utilization of collaborative inquiry in conjunction with the implementation of INFORM.

Operational Objectives
1. Establish operating procedures which utilize collaborative inquiry practices to support student achievement and school improvement as measured by data meeting summary sheets.

GOAL 4: Implement Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS).

Operational Objectives
1. Reduce the number of referrals by implementing PBIS strategies.
2. Maintain or exceed student attendance of 95% to ensure all students achieve academic success.
